Colors of Cambodia young artists making the most of their summer with the help of their intrepid instructor, Sophany Sor

We’ve been hosting workshops throughout the summer and these young artists are advancing at an incredible pace! Even though the kids are out of school, they are still very dedicated to learning to make art! We’re artists ourselves and we know how valuable it is to have the time and space to make art at your own pace with amazing teachers. Here are some images from our new students.

All of our workshops are taught by our director, Sophany Sor. Sophany is a Colors of Cambodia alumni and is the backbone of the Colors program. Outside of working tirelessly this year on our instructional videos, she is creating new fun projects and providing invaluable instruction throughout the whole week, as well as overseeing all the teachers at Colors. Over 1,000 students per month are served.

As an artist herself using a wide range of materials, Sophany has a unique ability to communicate the techniques and methods used in traditional fine art painting. Sophany has a strong collector base and her work is regularly exhibited at The River Gallery. Here are some of here images -
